We began our photography journey over 15 years ago and have since taken over a million images, we know this because cameras track the number of images taken. We have extensive experience photographing people, including kids, and furry pets (we know they’re not people).

This has given us an ability to photograph in difficult scenarios where you only have a few brief moments to both setup your camera, and to capture the moment. We’ve photographed everything from backyard weddings, to venues big and small, intimate elopements, or large gatherings of several hundred guests.

We’re experienced photographing church weddings, barn weddings, backyard weddings, country club weddings, venues in the city and in the country, beach weddings, and small weddings at the court house. Because of this we can photograph everything from candle lit weddings, to large productions where there is ample artificial lighting.

We can be a lean team, or a large team of photographers. We are not a videography company; however, we are experienced with video, and depending on the project we would be an excellent choice for most videography needs.

We can photograph in any weather, environment, lighting scenario, and for almost any purpose. While we do studio work we do not have a studio open to the public, and focus on photographing on scene. This does not mean that we are not well supplied with a mobile studio. We have a variety of lights, stands, and everything we would need to photograph any scenario.

We don’t believe that a photographer should limit themselves to a single style of photography or editing. Sometimes a black and white image will tell the story in a way where color distracts away from an image, other times boosting the colors enhances the visual appeal. A steamy photoshoot in front of a vintage car may look better dark and moody, and other times bright and airy will tell the story best. We photograph in the way that serves the client best, if you are curious about whether we can photograph in a particular way, just ask.

Preferred vendors are vendors that venues have worked with in the past, or in some cases where they have a mutually beneficial relationship. We can photograph at any venue, we are insured, and have worked with many vendors, and many venues with delight. We only ask that you keep us in the know if you are using a different vendor for videography or photography, so that we can communicate effectively. However we’ve worked with, and are willing to work with any vendor or venue of your choice. You do not need to limit yourself to preferred vendors, however you can use your discretion in terms of what is the best choice for you and your wedding.

Sneak peaks are images that are released either within a day or two after the wedding or up to a week or two after the wedding. These images are a sneak peak of the gallery that is to come so that customers can have some professional images they can use to share with family and friends. We do sneak peaks with all of our weddings, and usually it is within 2 to 3 days depending on sneak peak size.

We’ve done many church weddings, and we are very experienced with the lay of the land so to speak, lighting, what to expect, and great angles and spots to grab those beautiful moments.

We have not photographed a multiday wedding, and we would love the opportunity to do so!

Most couples book about 10 months to 18 months before their wedding, but we’ve had bookings as much as 2 years in advance and weddings that take place a few weeks after booking.

We work very diligently to ensure that all galleries are delivered as quickly as possible, and at the highest level possible. We prioritize quality over speed. We do however offer expedited services for the photography needs wherein speed is paramount, and we have been implementing strategies, both in terms of bookings we allow per week, to number of weddings per year, to speed up delivery times for wedding photography galleries as quickly as 4 weeks and as long as 8 weeks for all weddings booked after July 17, 2024. If ever in doubt just ask! The range is based on the number of images we are currently editing.

The majority of the photography work takes place post wedding. A wedding that is scheduled for 8 hours is usually about a 12-hour work day, and the time needed to edit an image is anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes to as much as an hour or two depending on the purpose of the image.

As an example, if you have a gallery of 1,200 images x 7 minutes = 8,400 minutes, which is 140 hours of editing time. This comes out to roughly 4 weeks of full-time editing. Some galleries can take as 8 weeks!

This is just an illustration on the work that takes place for every wedding, post wedding. Editing times vary, and galleries vary in complexity based on the wedding setting, and variables that I find interesting to talk about but will probably bore you!

We have done, and love to do Destination Weddings! Pricing is dependent on many factors, but usually it does not deviate greatly from our current offering, some locations may not even have destination wedding charges! Please Reach out with your specifics, and we can build you a quote. Some locations in the United States may not even be considered a Destination Wedding for us!

We have photographed, or would love to photograph Weddings in Texas, California, New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Hawaii, Florida, Colorado, Washington D.C., New York City, North Carolina, South Carolina, and our home turf Pennsylvania. We’ve traveled and photographed or would like to photograph in Eastern Europe, Mexico, Japan, Western Europe, South Korea, Canada, New Zealand, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Italy, Panama, Romania, Italy, France, Germany, Great Britain, Australia, Israel, and many many more!

We even have some promotions where Travel charges can be waived in select locations.

This depends on a few factors such as which package you booked, number of photographers (more angles, more images means more final images make the cut) and the hours of coverage, as well as how much time was spent traveling between locations, some weddings have 3 or 4 locations ( getting ready at hotel, church, park for photos, and finally the venue) The time spent driving and setting up lighting, followed by repacking lighting, travel, traffic, and parking all takes away from time photographing. This is especially more profound when it’s only one photographer.

Most wedding galleries fall between 600 to 1800 images. We’ve delivered galleries with over 2500 images, and smaller galleries for smaller weddings.

We are willing to travel anywhere, and are delighted to do so, depending on location, package selection, etc there may not be any difference or any substantial difference in pricing. Some packages take into account travel time and cost already! Just reach out on our contact page.

Yes! First, we cull the gallery and remove duplicates, and images that just don’t make the grade, we can’t share these images with you because you really wouldn’t want them, and because they are overshadowed by the images that are the better versions of the same image. After that we edit every image, and we edit in a neutral way so that customers can add filters according to their taste, but the images won’t fall out of style. Not every image will be edited for 2 hours, but every image goes through a host of post processing, and that may include several layers of editing, this is why it takes so long!

We do not deliver RAW images, which are the images that come straight out of the camera, because they are exactly that, raw, so raw that only a photographer would love them. If it is a specific feature you are looking for as you are a professional intending to work with the images, we can determine a price for raw image delivery. Although this is a feature that 99% of customers will not need or want.

We are not able to take things to that extreme, as it would require us to charge enormous premiums for all that editing time, and we find that our customers want beautiful images, but they also want authentic images of their wedding day! If ever in doubt just ask!

If the budget allows it is a delight to work with a wedding planner because they will take a lot off your plate, and we mesh well with a planner!

However If you do not have a wedding planner, we can assist you with organizing a timeline and helping to keep you on track on the wedding timeline we create.

Yes you may use your images for any purpose, including using outside vendors of your choice for prints, or further editing of your gallery, except for commercial work, unless specifically outlined in our agreement. However, we retain image rights so that we can use the images for our portfolio and for self-promotion. This is customary in the industry, however if you are a more exclusive client that needs anonymity or privacy, we have exclusive packages for our celebrity clients that need a non-disclosure agreement coupled with sole image rights.

We specialize in photography.

We have systems in place to ensure that we have adequate coverage. We believe that most weddings are better served with second photographers, as a planned backup, as well as all the benefits of having a second shooter. If we were in a disastrous situation where we needed to find a replacement photographer, we would make that our top priority.

And if the calamity (think life threatening) was so great that we didn’t deliver, then we would give you a complete refund. That is just worst case of worst-case scenario, this has never happened, and we have systems in place to prevent this kind of calamity.

We vary our shooting styles based on a lot of factors one of which is our client’s comfort, and we like to photograph candid images for those that feel a little shy. What we can tell you is that all our customers warm up to the camera and eventually lose that feeling of awkwardness after a little bit. We like to work with couples with an engagement photoshoot to help with this, and so that customers can have an idea of what to expect.

We do not follow shot lists, because shot lists never fall in line with the reality and vagaries of a fluid wedding day. We photograph the images as the opportunity presents itself, and we plan certain shots, but we cannot check a list of images we need to photograph, as that would be a distraction from actually photographing the images you would want us to take. As you’re aware you see a moment and you think to yourself that would make a great photo, and within that same very second that moment can be gone. That demonstrates how photography cannot be planned out on an excel document or a word bullet point list.

This however is not to say that we won’t work with you to capture that perfect image, or a few images you really wanted on your wedding day, let’s collaborate on the images you wanted to capture!

Fury pals are welcome. However, have a plan in place so that not every image we take includes your furry pal. We’ve had engagement photoshoots where the dog was upset when we were trying to photograph the couple and felt angst when a stranger was holding a leash, keeping them away from their owner. If you bring a furry animal, also bring a lint roller to help clean up after hugs, as editing single strands of loose hair is not an easy feat on hundreds of images, and therefore some images may not have that sharp clean look you were going for. Of course! If your wedding venue requires a COI please let us know and we can send the appropriate documents to them. Keep in mind it’s best not to wait until the last moment to share the venue requirements so that we have ample time to send over what they were looking for.

The absolute best time for us to eat, is to be served along with the wedding party, after the bride and groom, BUT before all the guests. The reason for this is because if we had to take a break away from the venue, our lunch break would take significantly longer than if we eat along with your guests. A gas station might be 20 minutes away, or there may not be anything reasonably close, eating along with your guests is the most logical choice.

If we eat before guests, we can immediately get back to work right away.

Some venues have a policy to feed photographers last after all the guests. If your venue has this policy (we won’t mention any names) we recommend you let them know you prefer we eat first so we can get back to work with no downtime.

This is the best choice for photography coverage because when served last, we are not able to photograph much while guests are eating, and when we are finally served, everyone else is already finished eating.

We don’t want to miss any important moments that take place during this time, cake cutting, your uncle doing a split on the dance floor he’ll likely regret in the morning, the list goes on.

Once the gallery is complete, we provide you with a shareable and downloadable online gallery. You can also order prints and albums post wedding.

We have a multitude of steps in place, we photograph from multiple cameras, we encourage customers to book multiple photographers, and every camera saves to two memory cards simultaneously. These cards are very reliable, but you can’t bet your life on anything, so that’s why we write to two cards.

After your wedding, that night we backup all your content even though it takes several hours, and we do not allow it to copy overnight without oversight to ensure power does not go out during the copying process. We also have backup power on our computers to prevent failure even if the power failed, giving us time to safely shut down the computers. We also save your files to 3 separate hard drives. And not all the drives are plugged into power, or are connected to the internet. We also use various antivirus protections, and do not use editing pc’s for certain tasks that can expose them to outside risk.

To put it simply your information is safe with us. Yes, a comet could fly from the sky and hit our work van with your memory cards inside while we were unloading tripods and lighting equipment, but we are going to just take a leap of faith and say that your photos are safe.

We believe that you shouldn’t prevent your guests from photographing even if you have a professional photographer, because the perspective is different even if it isn’t professional, plus they want to photograph this important day!

However, at the same time I think there should be clear guidelines for guests. For example, you could ask that during your actual ceremony guests cannot take images outside of their seats. Guests do not realize that we are actively photographing, and they can very easily be standing in the middle of the isle waiting for the moment when you are pronounced husband and wife but are actively standing in front of the strategically placed photographers.

There are a few polite ways guests can be asked not to block the photographers working, one is to have the officiant make the announcement before the start of the ceremony.

We photograph in full manual 100% of the time during your weddings because it’s what gives the best result, even if more complex.

High Resolution has different meanings for different photographers, there is no specific standard, just as professionally edited has different meanings. What I can share with you is that when images are exported in lower resolutions from their native size, (the image is shrunken in size when edited), images will need less editing because there is less detail (if you zoom in it starts to get blurry fast). Because of this significant savings in time, coupled with faster upload times (our images are about 15 to 25 Megabytes each, versus 2 or 3 Megabytes). The images also require less powerful editing equipment and skill to work with smaller files, as well as needing less storage and memory cards. All these reasons make cutting this corner very attractive to some even higher end photographers. However, the cost to this exists when using the images for artwork or prints.

When we send customers full resolution images that are not compressed, with limited cropping, , we are ensuring that the images will remain usable for many mediums for many years to come. Our resolution supports images that can be printed on 20 or even 30-inch canvas. Professional Print Photographers use the same equipment as us to print billboards.

After being married to the love of my life and seeing so many weddings from a perspective that rival even esteemed guests, we see that some couples place so much effort in ensuring so many details are just right, and that things are just perfect, that the wedding cannot go perfectly according to plan.

When this happens, as it will inevitably happen with every wedding, to some extent; in the moment its sometimes forgotten that the reason we are all gathered together, is to celebrate the love of two people, and to stand in unity with the promise that they will share the best and the worst with each other, but always with love.

This celebration means that it doesn’t matter if it rains on your wedding, or you’re stuck in an elevator for an hour, or your best man missed the ceremony, love endures, and we can all laugh one day when we are not watching our ice sculpture melting a little early. In the end we see that all couples inherently know this, and they acknowledge that this day is important because it marks a new beginning together, one where tears of sadness and happiness are shared with each other – a new life where they will never be alone, where they will always have someone that they can confide in completely. And with love like this, they can endure any hardship, any turmoil, that all humans inevitably face in their lifetimes.
